I arrived yesterday in the evening, so today was my actual first day exploring Bali.
I booked a place in Canggu,
The area most people say to avoid nowadays.
Everyone says that it’s overtouristic, crowded, and has crazy traffic.
And guess what?
They are right!
Hahaha
But I kind of expected it, to be honest.
I chose to be here because some friends of mine are already here too, training in a BJJ gym.
And as Bali is a really big island, if I stayed in another area, it would be hard to meet and train with them.
I booked just the first 5 days though.
Maybe I will explore other areas like Ubud and Uluwatu.
Or maybe not…
Today, one of my friends offered me the chance to teach No-Gi classes in the gym while I’m here.
I know what you’re thinking…
This guy is addicted to fucking BJJ?
And the answer is…
Yes, I’m an addict.
Sorry.
I can’t help myself.
And on top of that, I love to save money, and if I accept this, I wouldn’t need to pay for the gym or for meals!
But I’m still thinking about it, let’s see.
And I’m keeping the promises I made yesterday!
I’m writing this from a cafe in Bali, it’s not close to the beach though.
A really nice one, to be fair!
See you guys tomorrow!
