Have you seen that trend on YouTube/Instagram that has an audio with this sentence:
“Am I dreaming?
No…
I’m living in my dream.”
Then starts a really cool music and usually backed by cinematic travel videos and all this shit…
My socials algorithm is just about Jiu Jitsu, business and traveling, so I already saw dozens of these videos.
And today I was thinking about this sentence.
You know, I’m very grateful for everything I have and experience.
I do a conscious effort to remind myself of all the times I asked for this.
All the times I kneeled to the ground, closed my eyes and prayed, just asked God, the universe, the spirits or anyone that was listening.
What did I ask for?
I asked for life!
I asked for the opportunity to feel alive.
To live 100% of what this reality has to offer.
I asked for action!
Boredom was a constant for me since I was a kid.
And oh boy, I’m not sure who was listening.
But they definitely were.
Because everything I asked for, even the things I wanted but didn’t know how to ask…
They just got it.
And now I’m living it!
Actually, not just now, for more than one year already…
And you read me complaining, you see that it is not always just excitement and fun.
But I didn’t ask for a perfect life with zero problems.
First, because that doesn’t exist.
Second, because it would be the most boring of all, right?
I asked for movement, action, different experiences, people, places, purpose…
So when I find myself walking around this crazy city in Vietnam, living in Asia one of the most amazing regions on earth…
After a great BJJ training, a nice lunch and heading to a cafe to get some laptop work done…
I cannot help myself but ask:
Am I dreaming?
And the answer is:
No! I’m living in my most fucking incredible dreams!
I want to finish today’s post with a sentence that my friend Mateus would say:
Thank you, God, for this moment!
