I already talked about this here, but today this thought struck me again.
The importance of being aware and deliberate when choosing the problems you’re going to deal with.
I know this can sound a little strange and some people might think, “Why would I choose a problem in the first place?”
Because that’s life! Anything you choose is going to have problems.
Any fucking thing.
Work, place to live, relationships, even hobbies.
Anything.
And people who don’t stick to anything, who just pass through life hopping around stuff without being constant or putting in enough work to see some success,
Usually are the type of people who think the ideal is to not have a problem.
That happiness is the nonexistence of problems.
And actually, this is not real.
Happiness is in solving problems.
And more importantly,
Problems that you chose instead of were imposed on you!
Right now I’m dealing with a lot of shit.
In four days I’m going to move again, temporarily, but I need to clear my apartment and other things involved, like planning the place I’m going to stay in the new country, dealing with my last days at work, recording content in advance for the days I’m going to be out, and just an endless list of todos.
But guess what?
I chose these problems!
Nobody put a gun to my head and said, “Go to the other side of the world and live in a totally unpredictable and unstable way.”
Absolutely nobody…
It was completely my choice!
And because of that, it is so much easier to deal with all of this.
Feeling a little overwhelmed but grateful too!
Wish a great week for everyone.
